How does Lee have nine homers and 10 RBI with the bases empty?

Miles was on base once. He didn't count.

I know Estes was bad but what exactly made him historically bad?

 

I recall a lot of talk at the time about it being the worst statistical season by a Cubs starter since 1945 or something like that. A 76 ERA+ across 150+ innings is pretty hard to match.
