So why is he gone before Aaron Miles? It should be a top priority to get rid of Miles.

 

Because Freel was actually on the 25 man roster and the Cubs only had 10 days to either trade him or release him after he was DFA'd.

 

Miles is on the DL. When he's close to coming back (it sounds like he's probably still 2-3 weeks away) the Cubs will have to make a decision then on if they want Miles or Blanco more.

Which is actually an improvement over the .133 he put up with the Orioles. If this trend continues the Royals can expect him to hit .153 for them.

As I recall, Alfonso Soriano and Cubs GM were one in the same, and he was banned, and then came back with a 3rd alias before Modzilla quickly pwned(whatever that means) him.

Perhaps the Cubs probably will get Tony Pena Jr off of the Royals hands?

 

Heh, heh, heh. And I'm not liking this move by Dayton. I thought Dayton was going to improve this team, but from the looks of it, it's hardly any different than the previous years. It's sickening.
