plus he has like the first name ever in baseball history

David Aardsma and Dutch Zwilling, the first and last players alphabetically, both played for the Cubs at one point during their respective careers.

I'm not exactly losing sleep over trading David Aardsma.

Guess you haven't paid much attention to him this year

Oh, come on man. We're all capable of looking his stats up. We all know what he's doing this year.

Two things though...I'm still not going to lose sleep over trading him, and if you say you thought he'd even have one decent season in the future, you're a liar.

I'm not losing sleep either, but let's not pretend the trade was a wash

I wasn't aware that Aardsma was still on the White Sox. The White Sox got rid of Aardsma after one season, and he bounced around the league before finally finding success 3 seasons later. The Cubs sorta got production from Cotts at least last year, so its not as much of a bad trade as you suggest.

no, I'm not pining for Aardsma (nor did I lament him being traded). all I'm saying is that in hindsight, one is better than the other, that's all.

Now we have neither, so time to explore other options

I feel confident when I say that this would stump the schwab

Yeah, I was gonna say: at least he didn't perform well for the White Sox.

Meh, he's pitched 37 good innings in his career then. Still not gonna make me regret trading him. He was terrible for the Cubs and terribler for both sets of Soxs.

Yes, terribler.

When was this?

He was great for 14 games in July last year. 2.08 ERA, 1.154 WHIP, 12:3 K:BB

Haha, perhaps.
