Having an actual leadoff hitter works wonders.

Fuld used his powers of grit and hustle to inspire Lee into hitting that HR.

No, he simply worked the pitcher I believe 9 or 10 pitches and got on base to get the inning going. Good at bats are contagious, and Soriano has terrible AB's at the top of the lineup.

Well we have scored just as many runs today with Fuld leadin off than we did with Soriano leadin off the first two games with the Pirates combined.

Btw another good at bat here by Fox our Triple-A players makin him work. This must be Von Joshuas doin!!! NOW GET THE [expletive] OUTTA HERE FOX!!!!!!!! HELL YES BABY!!!

Do you have any idea the averages of how many pitches each of the Cubs this season take per AB?

FOX!

All I know is what I can see, and Fuld looks like a lead off hitter the past few days, sparking the team. If you are impressed by swinging at balls and a .290 OBP from the lead off position, enjoy.

Which likely means absolutely nothing.

I love the way the game has started, but it also worries me how much the ball is jumping today. Could be a high scoring game.

I guess B will be watching for a bit longer

Hehe. I'm still watching. You can thank me for being the spark behind this woeful offense.

According to Gameday, Fox hit that roughly a billion feet.

might be a little short on their estimation, it's still going.
