I know they can't send Soriano or Bradley down, but what about Fukuwaste-of-money? Seriously, why not just put Fuld out there and send this guy down. We are stuck with the worst outfield in Baseball for TWO MORE YEARS after this.

Hendry has completely screwed this team. I would send Fontenot down as well and just let Scales suck up here just a little less then Fontenot.

Yes, the worst. Can you tell me a worse outfield making equal to, or more then 40M a year?

Soriano: 18M

Fukudome: 12M

Bradley: 10M

Obviously nobody would claim Fukudome on waivers, so the Cubs could send him down if they wanted to, but I really don't think Sam Fuld is a better option.

Can he be worse? Fukudome hit about .140 with 3 RBI'S for the month. LOLOLOL!

Oh my god....seriously. For the last time, saying the worst offense in all of baseball is so much different than saying they are the worst outfield in baseball "making more then(it's 'than', but whatever) 40M a year." Guess what, they're going to get paid that amount no matter how they perform. We all know how much the players are making. At this point in the season, it has absolutely nothing to do with how they are performing. The contracts are signed, the checks are already written.

So, basically, we have the most overpaid, non productive outfield in Baseball? Neat!

:banghead: I love how those two terms apparently are related.

Most overpaid? Probably. Worst production PER SALARY DOLLAR? Almost definitely so far this season. But worst production when you look at straight up statistics (no, salary is not a statistic)? Highly doubtful so far this year, and almost impossible for the rest of the year, given past track records.

Ok, wise ass, I'm well aware of that salary isn't a stat. But don't give me this track record crap when it's beyond obvious that Fukudome is just terrible. Nothing at all has changed with him from last year. Furthermore, Bradley has put up his numbers up when he's been in an atmosphere where the fans and media don't give a rats ass (Can you stay with me now? Meaning no pressure) like we do here.

And Soriano is just a bad all around baseball player who is declining. Have you noticed all of the injuries he's had here as well? I've looked at the stats and yes, there is not one outfield that is as piss poor in all facets of the game. (That would be offense and defense).

Absolutely the worst OF in MLB.

"But we feel that Bradley is the answer to the left side of the plate problems and we obviously feel Fukudome will rebound".

I don't think the OF is that bad. Sure they havent done much so far this year but looking at their career norms, they are sure to come back. You can't go by the amount of money a player makes and expect that production. Once the contract is signed, the fans should just consider the money gone and cheer on their players.

Never has a GM done so little with so much money.

2008 Seattle Mariners:

61 wins

101 losses

$117M payroll

I believe they were the first team ever to spend over $100M and lose 100+ games.

June was the worst month of Fukudome's short MLB career, including the stinkers from the end of last season.

What a bust this guy is turning out to be. It makes me wonder if the talent level of Japanese baseball needs to be reconsidered.
