The seats I have are pretty high up. There's also a 50/50 chance that I'll sell them. As a Cowboys season ticket holder, I was given a presale password and felt I should at least get them and then decide if I want to go later.

I'm not sure how well these would sell on the secondary market, but I figure that I'll at least get my investment back if I decide not to go.

After watching these videos, LBJ has definately earned him the nicknamed "The Tool" for his and NIKE's overreation over a so-so dunk. Edited by RedFlash

Thunder gets Etan Thomas, Minny's 2010 2nd rounder and a conditional 2nd rd pick for Wilkins and Atkins.

i saw that on twitter too.

A high second rounder in next year's stacked draft and an extra roster spot this year (for Ibaka, I imagine). Sounds good to me.

If the Spurs can avoid multiple major injuries they're winning the title again next year.

They signed Antonio McDyess who will give Duncan probably his best sidekick inside since Robinson. Plus they also grabbed my man-crush in the draft to immediately help on the boards and give value minutes. And they're adding a healthy Manu and even if overrated, an upgrade in Jefferson.

Spurs over Cavs again, in 2010.

Yeah, the spurs are going to be scary. There hasn't actually been a lot of talk about them. It's almost all about where Odom is going to sign, the Shaq trade, and the Artest signing. But, the Spurs are going to be really, really tough if they can actually manage to stay healthy.

As far as the Cavs' offseason, I'm really happy. After the Shaq trade, we repeatedly missed out on the "big" names like Artest and Ariza, but I love the pieces that we added in Parker and Moon. Every Cavs fan I know is whining and complaining because we've only added "role players," but we have a team that won 66 games and lost in the playoffs because of matchup problems. We need role players.

By the way, lol @ detroit.

Eh, they overpaid for a couple guys but at least they overpaid for younger guys who still have some upside and are fairly sure bets to continue to produce at the levels they have. Charlie V is brutal defensively but I love him offensively and he's solid on the boards. He can be really good on the offensive end and if they can get him to commit defensively (not likely) he's a bargain.

They basically positioned themselves to be a 4-6 seed for the next few years. Which can basically be NBA hell. But they can't afford to tank and rebuild or they'll sell 7,500 seats per game. They need to get lucky at one spot.

I think he was loling at the Ben Wallace signing.

Maybe. Guess I should have checked the date on when he made that post.

Nobody wants Quentin Richardson.

He was just traded (AGAIN), this time to the Timberwolves. That's his 4th team so far this off season.

Note to Q: Don't look into any real estate until Opening Night.

Don't look now, QRich is on the move for the 4th time this offseason. This time he's heading to Miami.

http://deadspin.com/5345287/the-confessions-of-an-nba-scorekeeper?skyline=true&s=x

This is an article about a former NBA scorekeeper for the Grizzlies who discusses how he artificially inflated stat totals (especially blocks and assists). There's also a hilarious example of how a team in the 1990s under reported stats ostensibly to decrease the market value of its own players. You'll NEVER guess what team it was!

The Shareef Abdur Rahim home/road splits are just comical.

Thanks for posting that.

Assists are notoriously inflated. Chris Paul averaged 1.5 more assists and .5 more steals while playing 1.2 fewer minutes at home. Deron Williams averaged 1.4 more assists at home, playing 2.4 fewer minutes. The previous year he also averaged 1.4 more assists at home. Don't have the percentages right now though.

It appears Allen Iverson is going to be a Memphis Grizzly.

After a drawn-out recruitment by the Memphis Grizzlies, Iverson finally confirmed Wednesday morning that he is indeed ready to sign with them, announcing via his Twitter feed: "God Chose Memphis as the place that I will continue my career."

The Grizzlies are believed to be offering Iverson a one-year deal worth $3.5 million, which is far less than the nearly $21 million he earned last season in Denver and Detroit but more than anyone else was prepared to pay the 34-year-old.

For a $3.5 million, 1-year deal, I see little downside in signing Iverson. And he may just be productive for a season for us.
