How has the game not been called yet? It's literally been pouring all day and I don't think it's supposed to get better.

 

The Cubs have said they are determined to get the game in today. They have all day to wait, and have way too many makeups as it is.

Does anyone know why they just don't make a doubleheader for Saturday or Sunday (barring more rain)?

 

 

It's all about the Benjamins. Double headers put a dent in your revenue stream.

There's a large window in the radar. I'm sure they'll be able to get the game in if the field is playable after all the rain we've gotten last night and this morning.

Yeah, I think Ted Lilly is our ace this year unless Zambrano keeps pitching well (then they're both aces).

Dang I'm getting the chills thinking about the ovation Kerry's going to get when he gets to the mound.

 

Hopefully its in a 10-0 game in the 9th inning just to get some work in.

Hopefully its in a 10-0 game in the 8th inning, because if he is getting work in a 10-0 game in the 9th, either he's pinch-hitting (not likely) or the Cubs are losing (likely).
