Does anyone else just wish we would lose 30 in a row so we can forget about this season and rebuild from scratch?

if by "rebuild by scratch" you mean we can eliminate all the bad contracts off the books too, then i'm all for it.

That is our biggest problem right now. You knew that the bad contracts were going to come back to haunt us and this seems to be the year. We've got so many bad contracts that we really have very few options for upgrading the offense.

so most people would admit there is no such thing as clutch hitting. If so why are the Cubs so statistically inferior with RISP all season long? Is it just luck? Is Lou changing their approaches once they get runners on? It feels like the hitters are hitting well until a runner gets on third and then all the sudden they are taking strikes down the middle, swinging at balls, not squaring up on pitches, etc. How does this get better, or do we just have to sit back and hope that our luck will turn around?

Is there some sort of stats that shows how many times we've had a runner on 3rd no outs and couldn't score compared to other teams? I feel like they lead the league by far.

Here's our numbers..........

That's not true. We could improve the team cheaply, cut miles, send down patton, get fox back up here. Sure they aren't massive improvements, but they could still help the team.

Lou needs to rest Soriano. He's not hitting right now, and he can barely jog.

Better yet just put him on the DL for 2 weeks. Call Fox up and let Fox and Hoff platoon in LF.

It's a good thing the division isn't good because otherwise the Cubs would be in a major hole.

This offense (or lack of) makes me sick. So does Soriano and his contract. Nice .238 average.

Looking at our teams numbers would suggest they aren't hitting in any situation.

Most of our offense is pretty much sucking all the time. It doesn't really surprise me that they're sucking in key spots.

I'll agree with that. It's obvious that this knee injury is really bothering him.

Well its not like they are tearing the cover off the ball without runners on either. The entire offense is underperforming, be it with runners on or bases empty. If they start hitting like they are supposed to I guarantee you we start scoring with RISP.

i dunno, last year i think they were okay. soriano has always been a choker, but i can't explain the rest of the lineup this year.
