Gotta re-sign Lilly after this year. He's been solid the entire time here, save a horrid April here and there.

I'll give you that before tonight he had been looking better, but then he got hurt (again) and that is always going to be the problem with him.

Exactly. Give him a few more days to fully heal. He was a game-time decision as it is. That could be the reason behind tonight's debacle. Either that, or the POS just had an off night.

Last time the CUBS held the opponents to 2 hits in a game.... Mon 21 July 08 (2 hits) in a 2-0 loss at Houston

I don't have the exact stats, but since last April, Lilly has been rather amazing. He seems like he's really been mixing up his pitches and just not walking people. Nice job Theodore!

I don't think the CUBS have seen Arias yet this year.

 

According to MLB, we've faced him 4 times. 1 run in 4 innings.
