If only we could boo you out of town.

I forgot, no bad mouthing players, not on Mojos watch.

There's bad-mouthing players and then there's just being [expletive] about it.

White Sox down 3 going into the 9th and Rodney walks the first 3 guys. Lyon in trying to clean up the mess Ks Dye, but walks Thome. Sox down 2 with 1 out bags loaded. Could be an overall bad night for Detroit sports.

Im just saying, Cubs fans were called racist for boing Hawkins and Jacuq out of town, but Ive seen a lot of white players booed equally. Were we anti semitic for boing Jason Marquis? Were we anti canadian for booing Dempster when he was blowing saves?

Just tuned in there in time for Paul Konerko to hit a game tying double. I thought, and hoped Hawks head was going to explode.

And there's the tie with the winning run barely tagged out at home

Why don't we slow down and wait until someone else is actually "booed out of town?"

If he keeps it up, hes going to get booed at Wrigley, plain and simple. In game like tonights, not so much, but if theres a game when were down, and Miton, or anyone for that matter leaves 10 guys on, they're going to get booed in any home field. Probably not out of town, but you know his history, and hes not going to take it well.

Remember, Jacque Jones was pretty solid for us all and all, and you know how his time as a Cub is remembered.

He's been booed there already. You seriously think he or anyone else on this team is likely to do anything like singlehandedly leave 10 guys on base again? He's not too likely to have too many 0-6 games, especially ones where that happens.

Cubs fans are very fickel creatures. All he has to do is step it up, and he'll be loved. If he doesnt, his time as a Cub will end very bitter. I still dont know why Jacque Jones is remembered as such an awful signing.he was very good in 2006, 1 of his better seasons. People just assumed that hed be able to do a lot better in Wrigley than he did in the Metrodome, and he ended up pretty much duplicating his better seasons as a Twin in '06.

Agreed. Bradley will hit. Dude just needs to stay healthy.

Jake Fox can hit a little.

What the heck are we going to do with him? The guy just keeps hitting. We can't find room for Hoff to bat enough, let alone Fox. Not a bad problem, but a bit frustrating, especially since our corner OF spots are locked down for the next 2 years.

Hopefully when everyone comes back, Scales is sent down and I guess Blanco down as well. Freel will be DFAd, no? That would leave 13 position players as follows:

Soto, Hill, Ramirez, Theriot, Fontenot, Lee, Miles, Soriano, Johnson, Fukudome, Bradley, Fox, Hoffpauir

Although I'm sure we'll never be 100% healthy, so that will mix and match.

There is literally no reason Blanco shouldn't stay and Miles shouldn't be DFA'd. Blanco can hit almost as well as Miles and play MUCH better defense at two positions whereas Miles plays mediocre defense at one.

Of course, that won't happen.

Other teams can cut ties with unproductive veterans who is making millions (ie the D'Back a few yrs ago with Russ Ortiz), but the Cubs has to hold onto the unproductive veteran to justify the contract.

Miles was going to be unproductive when he signed. They're not cutting Miles because they like him.

Miles actually plays mediocre defense at three positions - 2B, SS and 3B.

Miles doesn't play SS. I'm fairly sure he hasn't played there yet this season, and he probably won't.

He's played 4 games there this season and started 2 of them. He's not a good shortstop by any means, but his reputation is that he can play it. He's also the official backup SS.

It's just that Theriot plays there pretty much everyday, so nobody else on the Cubs plays it with any regularity.
