Lou waited until the 13th and finally just couldn't help it anymore. Patton'll end this thing for sure.

OH MY GOD THIS IS WORSE THAN WATERBOARDING.

I wish to never again watch Cubs baseball.

I wish I wasn't a Cub fan sometimes, but they've got me addicted and there's nothing I can do about it.

All teams besides maybe the Red Sox and Yankees have stretches or even seasons like this where nothing goes right and you want to pull your hair back. Don't pretend like this is something only the Cubs do. The two differences are: With the amount of money we make, we should be in the Red Sox Yankees category, especially competing against all mid to small market teams in our division, and second we have a 101 year World Series title drought, which depending on how old you are you've only felt for 20-30 years of it, putting you in the category that Giants, Indians, Rangers, etc fans have experienced.

But I can completely understand venting your frustrations by making hyperbolic statements. I think my first 10,000 game thread posts were basically that.

David Patton: And you thought waterboarding was cruel.

It's frustrating when your bullpen excels, and you can't score one run. It's frustrating when you score a lot of runs, and your bullpen can't hold a lead late. Why can't we have all our pistons firing?

That's a nice breaking ball.

I wonder what it would take besides Soto to get V.Martinez. Maybe there's a few teams out there who haven't noticed that he's started waddling to first base.

When has your later scenario occured, assuming that by scoring a lot of runs you mean at least 6-7 runs?

For some reason I didn't realize until now that Great American Insurance Group has the naming rights to Great American Ball Park

Yeah, all this time I just thought they named it the Great American ballpark just to name it that.

Hahaha I can't tell if you're making fun of me or the Reds.

I didn't realize it either until I went to Cincinnati last year and saw the signs. I always assumed they just wanted that name for their park and I didn't know it was an insurance company.

I always thought that about United Center.

No I'm not making fun of you. I guess I'm just dense. I've always wondered why the hell Cincy would presume that their ballpark was so great that it should be called the "Great American Ballpark."

Really? You didn't think that big giant United logo on the roof that was shown anytime the Jordan Bulls played a national televised game in the 90s meant anything?

Before Comiskey changed it's name, Chicago had some very un-corporate sounding stadiums. I also feel like part of it has to do with a lot of people calling it "THE United Center" or "THE Great American Ball Park" instead of just using the proper noun, like "Quicken Loans Arena"
