I'm just a little skeptical of someone who doesn't have "great" stuff. That's all.

He's been so much better than I/ most of us anticipated. I keep waiting for him to fall back to earth, but he continues to dominate.

As am I, though my opinion doesn't mean much. I'd think that as he's seen more, more advance scouts will have a better feel for how to advice the teams to approach his starts. But the fact that the BABIP against him is .324 (before tonight) has to bode well for him.

Randy Wells is a perfect example of why coaches use the expression "trust your stuff".

 

He throws strikes and gets ahead in the count and doesn't get himself into a bunch of situations where the hitters can just sit on his less-than-stellar stuff.

Good, but much like the rest of the rotation, not quite good enough for the minf bogglingly horrible offense and bullpen.
