Federer is frustrating to watch against Nadal and Djokovic.

It's like he was so dominant for so long that he just refuses to change things up and make adjustments when it's necessary. He keeps sticking with the way he's always played because he won 16 majors doing it even though he's routinely losing the big matches to those two over the past couple years. I guess I understand it a bit from an ego standpoint (that's the way he's always done it and it's worked as well as possible, as evidenced by the 16 majors and all the records) but it bothers me now because it seems like it's costing him another major title or two.

Wow 5 hour 5 set comeback win for Djokovic. That's got to be tough at the Austrailian.

It looked like something was wrong with him midway through the match, but I'm not sure what it was. He definitely wasn't moving anywhere close to as good as he normally does.

Hopefully he can recover enough in time for Nadal on Sunday morning.

Nadal-Djokovic heading to a fifth set. This has been a great match. Djokovic started slow, rolled Nadal in the second and third sets, and the fourth has been even. Up 2-1 in sets and 4-3 in the fourth, Djokovic led 40-0 on Nadal's serve but couldn't get the break.

In related news, I'm going to be tired tomorrow (i.e. later today).

LOL. The replay of the men's final was supposed to start on ESPN2 three minutes ago. The only problem? The match hasn't ended yet.

Holy [expletive] that was an epic final. Djokovic wins 7-5 in the fifth set after 5 hours, 53 minutes. Longest Australian Open match and the longest Grand Slam final ever.

Even though I know the outcome, this is still amazing sports TV (watching the replay).

I can't believe Djokovic broke Nadal right back in the 5th. It really looked like he might've been done. But no.

Completely over-the-top in terms of just length and stamina.

Damn cool picture. Very happy Novak won today, got to be my favorite player since sometime in the 90's when American's we actually great at tennis. Curious to see how he improves at the French. 3 times to the semi's, but never had this amount of confidence before.

Yeah, I don't think Nadal had anything more to give. He still couldn't quite get over the hump. I'm just happy to see what appears to be a renewal of sorts in the men's tennis area these past few years. Some good stuff happening.

John Isner has had a good month. He beat Federer, on clay, in Switzerland, and now he's in the semis of the Indian Wells Masters tournament against Djokovic tomorrow.

And now Isner beat Djokovic, and advances to the Indian Wells final against the Nadal/Federer winner.

The French Open is so dumb. They have no lights, even on center court, and they don't use the hawkeye line technology, instead relying on spots.

Put lights on center court so big matches don't get postponed mid-match like Del Potro-Djokovic did and like Djokovic-Federer would have if it went five sets, and put in the challenge system like the other majors have.

I made this post last year and it still stands.

Tsonga-Wawrinka is at 4-2 in the fifth set and has to be suspended due to darkness as does Del Potro-Berdych, which Del Potro leads after three sets.

The French Open is so dumb and it is by far the worst of the four majors. Put some damn lights in you French morons.

Federer drops the first two sets to Del Potro but comes back to win the last three 6-2 6-0 6-3. Djokovic and Tsonga going to a fifth set now.

Nadal was dominating before the rain break, now Djokovic has really found his stoke. Fortuitous.

Hey look, the French Open continues to be a complete joke.

Here are three simple steps to follow for the French Open:

Step 1: Install lights.

Step 2: Install a retractable roof on center court (at the very least).

Step 3: Enter the 21st century.

Nadal down 2 sets to 1 to Lukas Rosol, the No. 100 ranked player in the world.

Rosol is playing with no fear right now. He's just ripping shots and going for the lines and they keep going in and when he's serving, he's just dominating Nadal.

After Nadal ran off four straight games to take the fourth set 6-2, there was a 30 minute break to close the roof. Rosol came out and broke Nadal immediately, then held to take a 2-0 lead in the fifth set.

Down 5-3 in the 5th set.
