I think Indy and Louisville would both be rather poor options.

Portland?

Completely agree... Portland needs a baseball team.

But yeah, I could see a MLB team in Portland happening.

cough Indy cough

I dunno about that. Indy seems to have problems supporting both the Colts and Pacers at the same time, let alone a 3rd big league franchise.

plus they are in the middle of a lot of other franchises (2 in chicago, plus the tigers, indians and reds)

i dont know of any place that would really be a good spot for a MLB team. OKC would be a ok idea if they had a smart and very fast way to move 40k people out of the way of a tornado.

Montreal deserves a second chance at a city. Make them promise to build a new park downtown, hire a good marketing guy, get an owner willing to spend (smartly) and bring back the Expos!

The only reason something "had to be done" in Montreal is because Selig and Loria willfully killed Montreal baseball.

I wish the Expos were still around. I loved driving up to Montreal for a weekend of gambling, drinking, strip clubs, and a cheap ticket to a sparsely attended major league baseball game.

just wanted to say that strip clubs in Canada effing rule.

Ok, curiosity got the better of me: Why?

Should've contracted the Expos and marlins when they had the chance

Yeah, instead of looking for another site on which to dump the Nats, just contract 'em and, to even out the numbers, another team, like the Marlins. Or, if Selig wants to keep the fish, another team could be off'd, like, uh, I don't know. . . the Cardinals?'

Those bastards!! When you take the baseball team away, you lose the right to call yourself a city too! ;)
