So 5 out now? Yeah we're not making the playoffs. We'll be at least 7 out by the end of this sweep.

Just an absolute circus, this team.

 

I've enjoyed absolutely nothing about the Cubs since the playoff FAIL.

 

We have 2 or 3 minor league guys playing every single night........stomach-churningly awful.

It's really unfair for so many of you to claim to hate/not care about this team and then not follow through.

This team has lost 9 of 11. Those 2 wins were a 5th inning rain shortened game and a 8th inning win against the Pittsburgh Pirates.

I've watched one game in two weeks (and that was last night). I think I'm doing my part, but I'm glad you are so worried about it.

It's kinda common knowledge courtesy the box scores.

 

The question is, why do you post here if you are 100% over the top negative all of the time? It sucks - for everyone.

I blame this game squarely on the shoulders of our "great" manager Lou Piniella. No reason to have 2 lefties playing against a guy who is holding LH hitters to a .093 avg on the season. Had Lou just started Fox at 3rd against the lefty and Scales at 2nd, the he wouldnt have got himself in such a bind regarding matchups late in the game.

There's not much to be positive about with the team, but there is a way to make a positive contribution to the board. You certainly haven't, as evidenced by several posts in this thread.

Wasn't the 8th inning also 1st and 2nd no one out and no score? That is so much scoreless fake rallying it couldn't even fit into one inning.

Assuming a sweep after the first game, a really close game at that, is beyond just negative.
