He was [expletive] out!!! Z is probably gonna get suspended now....[expletive]!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was safe. Z's getting suspended for no reason.

Z's suspension for the bump is going to be BS though because the ump bumped him.

Are you sure he got his left hand in there? The last replay i saw it appeared Z had done a pretty good job of blockin the plate.

The key word is left hand. Z blocked Morgan's RIGHT hand. The left hand snuck in behind the foot before the tag was applied. I'll bet Z didn't even see the hand the touched the plate.

Morgan was safe. I have DVR.

More awful officiating... this league should be embarrassed.

He was safe

Yea, saw it in real time didn't know how it was possible... how umps can see things like that but still fail to call a consistent strike zone is beyond me.

They do call a consistent strike zone. The TV camera angle skews everything for the fans.

The camera angle can distort our perceptions as to what's high, low, inside, outside, but it has no effect whatsoever on our ability to tell if an umpire is calling a zone consistently. They don't move the camera mount batter to batter, inning to inning, game to game, or even, usually, season to season

Soriano struck out swinging

Seriously, when he's not hitting there's not a more useless player in baseball.

During his current slump, hes been brutal even by Bad Soriano standards.

Yeah, he's really putting all of those useful slumping hitters out there to shame.

hahahahha

that was the highlight of the season so far!

\:D/

Yea real highlight losing your ace starter for a suspension

sour grapes...enjoy the moment already

He won't even be suspended if the ump did bump him.

And now we have to rely on Heilman, Patton, Ascasnio, and new guy. Not looking good.

Marmol's in the BP.

That makes me feel a bit better. Still, theres nothing more I hate than those games where we score in the first and never again.

He's due for one of his hot streaks in the near future, he's been brutal for weeks now.

Thank you Mister lazy pos Soriano, all because you can't cleanly pick up a slow rolling gb.

Lazy?

Besides, if you think he's a piece of [expletive], it's nice that you still show him respect and call him "Mister."

Yes, that kind of error by a major league outfielder is very much a lazy error.

He's always been bad at fielding ground balls as an IFer or an OFer. It's less laziness and more just a weakness.

I question whether the human eye and brain has that ability under any circumstances. That's an awfully high degree of differentiation you are asking them to take on.

No, that's a weakness based in laziness. It's a routine play he consistently screws up due to a lack of focus, which is laziness on a baseball field, as opposed to ability.

This is really funny taken out of context.

Just pointing out that the ump was correct. When I first saw it, I kind of thought he was out too, but I didn't originally see the left hand sneak in behind Zambrano's foot.

And for those of you who didn't get to see it, you are in for a real treat. That whole thing was awesome. But, it also further points out how pathetic this team is right now.

well, if your argument is that humans are physiologically or psychologically incapable of being competent umpires, that's a legitimate position, but I don't think most people will agree that no one can do it.

Eh, whatever. I'm not going to get worked up over the semantics. He's not going to get better at handling those at this point in his career.

He was clearly safe, and it wasn't even close Morgan had almost his whole left arm over the plate.
