It's getting awfully close to game time. Are they gonna try to see if they can just delay it for forever and then get it in?

Now it has to get rained out, Miles isn't in the lineup.

So if this game is rained out, would Milton be suspended for tomorrows game, assuming its not a double header or whenever they postpone this one to?

To the best of my knowledge, he'll be suspended in the next Cubs game - whenever that is.

If they play today, it'll be this game. If they don't play until tomorrow, he'll be suspended for that one.

But if they start the game, and it doesnt make it past the 5th, then is he out for the next game or when they re play this one?

I would have to think that it would be this one and the conclusion at a later date.

Looking at the path it's taking, it looks like that entire several hundred mile long storm will pass through Chicago

come on, truffle, tell us a cold front is gonna knock it to our south in a few minutes

Bobby Scales is really likeable. It's good to see someone like him finally break into MLB, and then take advantage by putting up decent numbers at the plate.

PPD

officially?

this is so dumb. it was obvious 2-3 hours ago, just based on the radar, that the afternoon was going to be a complete washout. instead of postponing the game early, they wait until right around when the game is supposed to start, meaning that lots of people have left work or traveled into the city for a game that was never going to be played.

[tinfoilhat]maybe it's a conspiracy by public transit, local parking folks and wrigleyville bar owners to make money on a day the cubs aren't going to play. [/tinfoilhat]

it is odd that they would postpone it so early. usually they like to get as many people into the park as possible and let them hang out for a couple of hours so as to boost concession sales.

Wells is starting tomorrow, and Lou is happy as hell because now he can skip Marshall and have him in the pen. Yea lets skip the guy whos pitched really good this year, for a kid making his 2nd career start.
