What's Young's PC so far?

39 I believe.

Ouch.

Keep making him work.

What's the Padres bullpen like?

Heath Bell in the closer's role is their best reliever. Nobody else is very impressive. Luis Perdomo is the only reliever with an ERA+ over 100 (save for Bell) and he did that in 12 innings.

i'm surprised no one else is upset that we gave up homers to adrian gonzalez in the first inning in back to back games

though i guess the wind is blowing horribly out so? No big deal?

Who says we're not upset? Plus, it's not like it's David Eckstein who is hitting the HRs.

No one said anything in the thread when it happened

The fact that it is someone that we should be avoiding is the reason for concern, just dont challenge the one person in their lineup that can hit homers

Well, if there is a team with one guy you can single out and say "we can't let him beat us" it is the Padres and Gonzalez.

So yeah, I'm a little miffed he got drivable pitches, but what can you do.

Cardinals are going to lose again, for those who aren't watching. 5-2 down to Pittsburgh in the 9th.

too bad this game will be rained out in the top of the third, the storms are popping up all over the place now and Young and Lilly are so slow

Too bad Ricky Nolasco realized he likes being terrible more than being really good, too, though.

you take your victories where you can

love to see the cardinals lose a lot more than the brewers though anyway, even if they aren't realistically our challenger in teh division or not
