I was at a bar with no sound during the game. What happened with Keller? I know they showed him ignoring Weber, and then moping on the sidelines, but I couldn't tell what went down.

if keller weren't such a black hole on offense, he probably wouldn't have already played his last game as an illini.

 

if we could combine keller's ability and energy with cole's modesty, we would have a great role player.

aTm really has our number. I was hoping KU would be hitting its stride now. Instead, a sloppy win vs Tech, and we're getting pushed around by atm.

You guys are gonna win it all, but having seen most of your games you have played really well for maybe 5 halves all year. Very odd team.

 

It's pretty frustrating, and it gives me a lot of concern.

 

Honestly, this Kansas team sort of reminds me of 2005-06 UConn. They're the best team, they're the favorites to win it, but they almost seem to coast at times. I'll probably pick them to win it all, but, despite being clearly the best/favorites, them being upset wouldn't stun me. Can you coast almost to the point of disinterest -- and I haven't seen every game, so disagree at will -- and win the title? We'll see.

LOL, Seth Greenberg just invoked the transitive property to argue Virginia Tech's case: "People talk about the unbalanced schedule, but we beat the two teams in the league that beat Duke this year, Georgia Tech and NC State."

 

I now hope Va Tech doesn't make the tournament simply because of the extreme illogical shown by Greenberg.

why does bill cole even see the court? he played 34 minutes and took one shot and didn't really contribute in any facet of the game. just play paul.

 

I disagree. Cole played solid D yesterday and was all over the floor on loose balls. He can get hot and fill it up as well. Paul has been very active on the boards lately, but I don't trust him on the offensive end to make smart decisions.

 

I am also scared of Minnesota. With a win today I think they move solidly into the field. If we get blown out by OSU I could see the committee taking our bid and giving it to Minny. Although I don't think a win is necessary at this point, I think we need to play solidly today to ensure a birth. We also really need UTEP to pull out this game over Houston.

when i saw that minny won, i got scared, too. but they finished behind us in conference play. more likely they take a bid away from someone else, but we need to win to make me feel better.

I haven't watched much C-USA this year, but this is seriously the best team they have to offer? Wow, UTEP looks awful; they're collapsing.

thats about it as far as i know. i dont think he got back in the game. i always thought he was a marginal defender, but lately he's been chucking stupid threes whenever he gets a chance. ever since he hit that game winner a while back.

Turner's shot was very low percentage. Run that play 100 more times and he misses it most of the time. The defense wasn't great for Michigan, but that shot was a hail mary that turner lucked out on

It was far from a hail mary. He was half-way between the halfcourt line and the 3 point line with nobody around him. He probably makes it 15-20% of the time. You play a shred of defense and that shot becomes 2%.

 

absolutely. every kid who has ever had free time in a gym has simulated that exact play, and i bet turner has attempted similar shots hundreds of times. if they would have just made him cross over or use his left hand the % drops way down.

the replay clearly shows that michigan coaches were not giving any indication that their players were doing anything they didnt like.
