Alabama supposedly has to vacate their wins from 2005 to 2007.

If Alabama forfeits the wins, it just means CNS didn't want those wins anyway.

 

But I thought Alabama was the cleanest program ever to have lived? And what the hell is CSN?

 

CNS = Coach Nick Saban

 

No idea what CSN is though.

 

Why are we adding the Coach part to Nick Saban?

i met nick saban once at a planet hollywood-type establishment on suth padre island and i don't believe for one second that he would do something like this. he was there alone, but one of my friends recognized him and called hm over to our table and he talked with us and bought us drinks for like 2 hours! he was so nice! he was really sad to see us go and he kept saying us girls could hang out with him anytime

Most of those wins being vacated are from Mike Shula era. And yes Alabama does plan to appeal that decision.

 

NZAA is not a friend of Alabama's to say the least. It let USC allows players to live in condos on Pac Ocean that is beyond their player's family means and yet it comes down on a minor textbook incident. The NZAA can got fack themselves. Ever since the NZAA broke their OWN God Dang rules during the Albert Means scandal, they seem determine to kill the Crimson Tide football.

 

Going back to the textbooks scandal, CNS found out about the scam that his players were running and he immediately suspended those players for four games with the approval of the NZAA. After the four games were up the NZAA reinstaed the players with the understand no further punishment was going to happen. Yeah FRAKKING right. When Alabama wins the damn national title we are going to shove up the NZAA arse and smile.

 

Trust me, Alabama is NZAA's favorite punching bag when it comes to dealing out punishment. Take it for what it is worth, but most Crimson Tide fans are upset at the double God Dang standards the NZAA has. Be the poster boy of what they want college football to be and you can get away with murder, but be against the NZAA and they come down on you like an iron fisted dictator.

 

And this is all I will say on this.

 

And yes, last I heard Alabama plans to appeal this decision.

I don't think the NCAA has double standards against Alabama. I'm sure if SMU got accused of something they would take it seriously also. They certainly don't deserve to be on the same playing field with schools who never get reported for any violations. Saben was reported for several violations his 1st couple of months on the job for recruiting contact, sounds pretty similar to to Kiffen. Don't get me wrong, I hope USC gets the entire book thrown at them but don't act like Alabama or "CNS" are innocent little angels.

Holy smokes it included 15 other teams in the athletic department, it wasnt just the football program. I wouldnt call that a minor textbook incident. Minor violations done on a major scale.

Alabama should've known better than to think the biggest racket in the American University system, the NCAA, was going to tolerate exploitation of the 2nd biggest racket in the American University system: the college bookstore.

huge shock, Alabama gets in trouble and their punishment has no teeth. Vacating wins? Big freaking deal. Plus the probation isn't going to cost any scholarships.

 

They really laid the smack down on Bama.

unless they make Bowden vacate some of his, which takes him out of the race with JoePa for most Div-1 wins
