The injury report from the I-Cubs game notes:

RH Justin Berg was placed on the disabled list on April 17th with a right shoulder impingement. He had an MRI in Chicago on Monday and the test revealed no structural damage. Berg will report to the Cubs' complex in Mesa, AZ for rehab. IF Luis Rivas was placed on the disabled list on April 19th after straining his left hamstring running to first base in the April 18th game. Rivas reports to Mesa today and could return to the Cubs in the next two weeks.

Searle continues to rack up the ground outs but not the strike outs.

3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K, 6 GO-2 FO.

Ok thats it, call Fox up my God.

11 HRs in 70 at bats is pretty good eh? Seriously though, the Cubs need to DL someone and get his bat up there asap.

Searle is done for the night.

5 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 2 K, 9 GO-3 FO

I can't decide if I'm excited about Searle or not. Is there anyway that GO to FO ratio is sustainable? If he starts striking people out then he may vault way up the prospects to watch list.

A 19 year old in A+ with his current level of success merits some level of excitement.

plus he's australian, he doesn't have the baseball experience that most players at that level have.

He had a 2.43 GO-AO last season in 34.1 IP (3.07 GO-AO in 26.1 IP at Boise).

Peoria rained out... :(

yah, because DARE Day at the park isn't *quite* long enough...we really needed a double-header tomorrow. Well, at least Raisin will have something to do at work  That said, I'm having a hard time getting excited for taking a vacation day in order to be at the park at 7am to wrap a bajillion hot dogs. At least it's not going to be really warm. I am looking forward to the Chiefs getting back to their winning ways.

Although I know it's necessary to wrap a bajillion hot dogs in order to most efficiently stock and sell them, I always hate unwrapping them when I have to buy 8 for my family. Here in Chattanooga we have the Lookouts (AA-Dodgers). It took me 20 minutes the other day to unwrap all 8 hot dogs, put "ketchup only" on one, "mustard only" on one, "mustard and relish" on two, "mustard, ketchup, onions and relish" on two, and "mustard and ketchup" on two...and then have to put them all back in the wrapper to carry them back to our seats...I missed a whole half inning!

wow - that hot dog dressing makes me glad it's just the hubby and I! While I sounded snarky in my last post, I should mention that DARE Day is a great thing to do for the schools - giving a lot of tickets and lunches away to schools as a reward for participating is a good thing. And there's just nothing quite like the squeal of a 5th grade girl...I know, I was one once :)

It's also 100 million times better than Hannah Montana Day.
