(JordanMontana) [via mobile]: Do the Bulls have any chance of pulling this thing out or did last night get the Celtics over the hump?

Chad Ford: I think the Bulls have the advantage. They are confident. They are attacking the Celtics. And they are healthy. I think Bulls win this in six. Celtics just are struggling upfront.

Jared (Myrtle Beach, SC): Would you take Rose or Rondo to be your PG of the future?

Chad Ford: I'd have to say Rose. He reminds me of a 6-foot-3 LeBron James. A lethal combination of power and speed. However, Rondo's been AMAZING. I'm still trying to figure out how he slipped so far in the draft. The Hawks, who were in desperate need of point guard, took Sheldon Williams, ahead of him. Both will be All-Stars in for years.

Nobody could of guarded Gordon last night, nobody.

Rondo could have. Tony Allen woulda done a better job too. The Celtics had one of their worst on the ball defenders on him the whole game. Gordon's performance just exposed Rivers more than anything else.

Never thought of him as a 6'3" Lebron. Decent comparison, but Lebron is much stronger. Lebron is built like a LB.

I think it's a terrible comparison. Hilariously terrible. They're both physically gifted basketball players for their position, but their positions/game are way too different to make comparisons.

He's stronger, better passing Steve Francis or more athletic, bigger Isiah Thomas.

Steve Francis was horrible at basketball though. And Isiah didn't have the vision that Rose has. Maybe a mix of both. Francis' size and athletic ability. Isiah's quickness and finishing ability. But he has much better vision than Zeke.

I like the Lebron comparison because both are strong, explosive going to the hole, and can do everything probably better than anyone else at their positions except shoot from deep. Rose runs circles around Francis and Isiah on the boards.

A gimpy Rondo like you had in the second half?

Relative to PG's though, Rose is strong as a beast.

I've thought it was a good comparison too. I like it better than most comparisons I've heard.

Well, he did hold Oscar Robertson, only with Jordan's ability to score to 10 points.

A) Steve Francis was not bad at basketball. He was, in fact, very good at basketball. Derrick Rose will be better, but the comparison is as close as it gets in terms of speed, agility, coordination, finishing in the trees and ability as a point guard to play above the rim.

B) You guys all like the LeBron comparison because it favorably compares our team's best player with the best, most gifted basketball player on the planet.

The comparison is bad.

Pierce says they have only played their C game. This is absolutly insulting to the Bulls. Nobody could of guarded Gordon last night, nobody. I like KG but it appeared that during and after the game he was yelling at the Bulls bench area, whatsup with that. Dude says the MF word or variables of it a lot.

Good for him. The Heat did the same exact thing to us a couple years ago and they were still saying how they were playing down to the Bulls level even when they were down 3-0.

Completely agree. I think Rose is early-career Steve Francis with a decent jump shot. That sounds lame because of how Francis finished his career, but would anyone be upset if Rose averaged 24, 9 and 6 for the next decade or so?

if it comes with a sub-43% FG, yes

Sorry - my "decent jump shot" comment was meant to show that Rose is clearly more efficient than Francis. My fault.

but i don't really see that either, Francis actually showed the ability to shoot threes early in his career and Rose hasn't

so other than that Francis posted great steals totals, shot a decent amount of threes, got to the line more often, was a better rebounder and Rose has a better midrange jumper they're like peas in a pod

Rose is strong compared to a lot of PGs, but Lebron is seriously the most physically put together NBA player since Ben Wallace and Dennis Rodman were in their primes. Even if you give Rose the 6 inches Lebron has on him, Lebron would still be the stronger, far more physical specimen.

Whoa, whoa. Wait. No. Rose is good, but there are some much better point guards in the league. Not to say that Rose might not one day be better, but he would have a hard time cracking the top 5 mark for NBA point guards as it is right now.

Im curious to see your list. The only ones that are noticeably better right now are CP3, Parker, and Deron.

LeBron James is the best basketball player in the game right now, perhaps the best ever. Let's not compare Rose to that. The Steve Francis in the prime of his career comparison is pretty misleading, IMO. I think he's faster and a better passer than Francis, but he's also not as good of a jump shooter or rebounder right now. That can change though (and I suspect it will).

Or Rose picked up two quick fouls and wasn't aggressive much early and didn't get aggressive again in the 4th quarter because Ben Gordon forgot how to miss.

I disagree with that part. Particularly the jump shooting part.
