The C's are still the better team, but this is a win the Bulls really needed if they had a shot at this series. Congrats.

BTW, Noah is probably the ugliest man I've ever seen and easily the ugliest in the NBA.

Rose is deservedly getting all the publicity here, but Noah played quite well yesterday. That guy has turned out to be a much better NBA player than I anticipated.

Why do people keep defending Noah's ugliness??

Ok question. With the upset Philly pulled off today it got me thinking. If Philly upsets Orlando, and the Bulls upset Boston, with Cleveland winning their matchup, would that mean the Bulls get the winner of Atl/Mia?

No, the NBA doesn't work like that. Even if it did, that would mean the Bulls would play Cleveland. Thankfully, it doesn't, so the Bulls would play Philly.

Yep, no stupid reseeding in the NBA. A bracket's a bracket.

I thought the NBA started reseeding after the 1st round recently? Or did they stop doing it recently? Or am I just crazy and Im just making stuff up? :D

Making stuff up. The NHL started that practice recently.

Finally got a chance to post. I was watching the game at Bernie's before I went to the Cubs game. Wow. Yesterday was the single greatest day in Chicago sports that I can recall. Bulls upset the Cs in OT with Rose becoming a star in front of our eyes, the Cubs win on a walkoff homer in extras, and the Hawks take a 2-0 series lead in their first playoff appearance in years. What a day to be a Chicago sports fan. I did miss Cutler throwing out the first pitch though, since I stayed at the bar until the Bulls game ended.

What.

I had no idea there were so many 14-year-old posters that had no memory prior to 2000.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but there has to have been a good chance back in the early-to-mid 90's when the Bulls/Blackhawks each won playoff contests and the Cubs/White Sox won games.

While thats probably true, I think the weekend was magnified because of how the Cubs, Bulls, and Hawks won. Cubs win on a walk off against long time hated rival, Bulls win on the road in OT against the defending Champs, and the Hawks come back from a 2-0 deficit to win. I wont go so far as to say its the greatest day in Chicago sports, but it definately was 1 hell of a good day for a fan of of 3 teams.

It was definitely a good one. But it was still just a couple first round victories and mid-April baseball games. Given the championships that have been won, and more pivotal regular season games, I'm guessing there have been better days. Super Bowl XX should probably rank higher, just based on one team's win. And I'm not even a Bulls fan but there had to be days when the Bulls won a championship that were overall bigger days for Chicago sports fans.

I'm thinking any day a championship is won by one of your teams, it's better than two playoff victories and a regular season win against a rival.

Agreed which is why I said I dont think it was the greatest day in Chicago sports, but 1 hell of a day none the less. Also, the only championships I remember are the Bulls, as I was only 5 when the bears won, and wasnt old enough to "celebrate" when the Bulls won any of theirs. And well the Cubs...yea you know about that one :D

http://blogs.chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/fullcourtpress/2009/04/celtics-say-bulls-rose-cant-do-it-again.html

In comments to Boston reporters Sunday, center Kendrick Perkins made a bold guarantee that Derrick Rose won’t come close to matching his career-high 36 points in Monday night’s Game 2.

“Everybody has their night,” Perkins said. “I know it won’t happen again. He’ll never have another game like that against us. It wasn’t anything that they did. It was all on us.”

“I was in a pretty good mood because I knew from watching the tape that we didn’t play that well at all and still had a chance to win,” Pierce said.

Of all the people to be talking trash about everybody having their night, Kendrick Perkins mouths off. Kendrick Perkins is the blind squirrel who may someday find a nut, not Derrick Rose.

Trash players talking trash. Give me a break.

Yea my Celtics fan friend was saying the same crap. "D Rose had the game of his life and it still took OT to beat us", and blah blah blah. Nevermind that Rondo basically had the game of his life too, and the Bulls shot 17% from 3 point range for the game. Salmons and Gordon really never got their offense going the entire game, and it took Tyrus till OT to do anything. The Celtics may not have played very well, but honestly, the Bulls didnt play all that great either.

Celts fans need to realize they arent the same team without KG, and this is now 2 games in a row the Bulls have beat them without KG.
