I didn't think he was a joke at #1. He's almost certainly the most talented player in the draft - maybe by a wide margin.

 

If you're going to take a big risk, do it with someone that talented.

The best defensive player in the draft is Aaron Curry and the Chiefs badly need defensive help. They've added some vet LBs this offseason and there are some questions about whether Curry can fit in a 3-4 scheme. But, he's just about the most sure thing in the draft and is highly talented.

 

So, with the third pick in the draft, the Chiefs select OLB Aaron Curry from Wake Forest.

From what I can tell, Oher is gonna go at 13 to Washington, so 11 isn't a reach, really.
