Don't worry, BP currently has about six #1 or #2 starters in all of MLB and MiLB combined.

The best pitching prospect in our organization has a low 3/high 4 upside? Woof. Though I think many have higher opinions of Tseng here than that.

That's about right. Our organization is awful for high-ceiling, not-injured starting pitcher prospects.

And I'm OK with that, because the way that happened wasn't through a bunch of guys busting, we just spent all our resources on elite power hitters and awesome relievers. Chasing TOR pitchers is awful value.

Parks mentioned in a tweet that Alcantara will be 30th in BPs midseason Top 50.

Also:

@ProfessorParks: Yes. We were too low on Alcantara this off-season. RT @drocthekid @ProfessorParks Alcantara higher than Almora/Soler now? #Cubs

@ProfessorParks: Soler didn't make it. Love the raw power but not the player. RT @BBVSNeuhaus13 @ProfessorParks do Soler and Almora still land in the top 50?

It's fair that Soler is dropping. He has to stay on the field. If he can't he's not really a prospect.

you might want to check out the local community college for a refresher course in basic math stuff

Do they teach a how Castro > Trout class at this school?

Two years ago, was there a Castro trade proposal you would've been in favor of? You guys should take that class together.

Holy [expletive] I can't believe this exchange was 2.5 years ago. I remember it like it was yesterday.

Ian Stewart will play himself out of the league by June. The Cubs will get more home runs from their backup catcher than from him.

Cubs backup catchers: 6

Ian Stewart 5

But he did manage to hang around the league for a bit longer.

I was all ready to congratulate myself on a good troll until I saw that I defended it on page 2.

Haha, still well played, TT.

The Cubs leader in home runs will be Joey Votto after he is traded by division rival Cincinnati in exchange for an old jockstrap found in the Iowa locker room that once belonged to Scott Moore, because Walt Jockety really likes jockstraps.
I don't like him either, but LaHair is a person you know. He has a name.

I'd still argue that, or do you think Trout should top out at around a 1.200 OPS?

Nevermind that my point was everybody can be wrong about prospects, even Branch Sneakey.

is that a revelatory point?

i'm mostly disappointed that i only got to make the same joke like three times before the Seth MacFarlane Lifetime Achievement Award recipient got all bent out of shape

also unrelated, Rick Porcello threw a CG SHO last night
