4/12 Cubs (Dempster) @ Brewers (Suppan) 7:05 PM ESPN/720

After a deflating game on Friday and an energizing finish on Saturday, the Cubs and Brewers meet in the rubber match of this series on Sunday Night Baseball.

Hopefully this will be a quick game so that the Cubs can get home and rest before the home opener on Monday.

Go Cubs!

After five games last year Soriano had a line of .045/.087/.045/.132 and didn't get his OPS over .800 until May 16 which was his 28th game. He also had just three home runs after 23 games, and has three in five games this year.

Soriano usually sucks on Sunday Night Baseball, IIRC

Ramirez usually puts on a show, I say he goes for Arambomb #3 and yet another AF sig change. :)

Lee absolutely owns Suppan in his career too, Sori's struggled

I hope your wrong on the first statement and correct on the latter statements :-D

Doesn't Soriano have 3 more HRs than he has the last 2 years at this time?

I think you may see some lineup changes in this one. With the day game following the night game tonight, and the day game being the home opener, I think you will see Milton Bradley getting his first off day this season. If Hoffpauir gets the start, that's probably the only change. However, I think we will see Reed Johnson getting the start (PH single yesterday, while Hoff K'd w/the bases loaded) AND Aaron Miles in at SS to get the extra lefty bat in the lineup.

My prediction of the lineup.

Soriano

Miles

Lee

Fukudome

Ramirez

Fontenot

Johnson

Hill

Lou gets his L-R fetish fulfilled and gets to keep a couple of bench guys "fresh".

Why would Bradley get today off? Just wondering?

We already had an off day and have another one after tomorrow's game?

I know he's been struggling but I would let him play today and then sit him tomorrow if I really thought he needed rest.

I'd expect him to be playing in the home opener so you could rest him Wednesday as well to give him 2 days off.

Not sure if this is the best place to put this, but the weather looks crappy on Opening Day tomorrow. Skilling is saying it might be postponed or at least delayed for a bit.

DAMMIT!

Same goes for the Saturday game against the Cards... I am going to be one pissed off Cubs fan if I have to sit through 2 rain delays in 5 days.

I have gone to opening day the past 6 years and not ONCE has the weather been anything above awful.

I think there should be an ESPN Broadcast Drinking Game.

- Drink every time Joe talks about one of the members of the Big Red Machine

- Drink every time CC Sabathia (or any Yankee) comes up in discussion in the booth

- Drink twice whenever they mention the 100+ year drought

- Finish your drink if they show Bartman footage

Anything else?

drink everytime a name is comically misread or mispronounced

Jon Miller isn't still on the crew is he? Erra-meese Ramirez would kill you all by itself.

I have a soft spot in my heart for how Jon Miller pronounces hispanic players names, its just so funny. I mean, at least he's giving an effort to say it correctly. Jon Miller is pretty cool anyway, I love when you can almost feel him squirming in the booth when Morgan says something out-of-this-world stupid.

It's amazing how much the outcome of a Cubs game can effect my mood, so heres hoping we win and we don't have another outburst in the gym like I did when I saw the walk off on Friday.

I'm taking a basic Meteorology class this semester and my teacher (

, lol) was saying he's pretty sure there is going to be some rain interference for the home opener. Take that for what it's worth but yeah.
