Last night, Soriano hit his 50th career lead-off homer. Does anyone know if that was leading off a game, or just leading off (whether game or inning)?

why not? i think he's got a great chance. assuming he plays 6 more years which would make him 39 at retirement, so you could easily argue he plays more than that, he basically needs 5 leadoff homers per year. that's realistic.

I agree with you that he has a chance, but I don't think he'll do it. I think he'll wind up somewhere in the low 70's at best

I think he'll come close, but I don't think he'll make it. It really comes down to how long they'll continue to let him hit first.

Well, it's not like the Cubs have a clear cut favorite to replace him at leadoff, now or in the pipeline. And if they've already given up on the idea of lots of stolen bases or very high OBP at leadoff, there's no reason why they'd have to move him.
