it's interesting to see the seemingly lack of interest in buying tickets this year compared to other years. i can remember in '04 it was crazy trying to get tickets, this thread was like a 100 pages long.

i guess a bad economy and now anti-climatic regular seasons will do that.

There's still over 20 games that are already sold out according to the system, so the demand will still be there.

Since the 90's a good portion of the initial demand has been people assuming they can sell for profit on the secondary market. It will be interesting to see how that will work this year, and what kind of prices people can get for those tickets.

Yeah, the secondary market will say much. As for the initial demand, I think it's still quite strong. We're only 2 days from opening the ticket office, and a ton of games are sold out. It's really chicken feed left at this point.

Did anyone get an email from the Brewers for their marquee games package? A couple of my friends did (rejection letters) but I haven't gotten anything.

If anyone gets one and doesn't plan on using it, let me know, I'd love to buy tickets to that April Cubs series at MMP.

Wouldn't it be more exciting at Miller Park? ;)

Ya, singles are available for almost every single game. A risky sell, but if you just want to go by yourself or try to seat swap, you can get any game right now.

you can get one ticket to pretty much every game right now. opening day, sox games, etc.

quick, cynosure, go buy all the tickets to make profit!!!!!!!!

Hey now I hooked up a fellow board member for basically face value for opening day, I don't want to hear it!

Why not by extras so you can end up going for free? Not really TOO much profit involved... just some beer money for the game. Free > Paying for.

With all due respect (as the person that benefited from Cyno's generosity), I think bragging about it in front of people who were not as fortunate is what people are put off by.

I have profited from ticket sales and previous years, and I don't think there is a problem with it if you get lucky enough. It's capitalism. Plus you obviously brought your karma back up by helping me out :)

So apparently the May 8,9,10 Cub games in Milwaukee were almost sold out in their pre-sales, there's pretty much nothing left for single game tix today.

That kinda sucks.

I will be at every Cubs/Cards game this year (In St. Louis) without spending a penny.

Why would I make the decision to take a day off, try and buy cubs tickets, and then have to take more days off to drive up to Chicago? Blasphemous.

I should still be able to see the Cubs 10-15 times this season even if I don't make it to Wrigley.

Going to the June 25 day game at Tiger Stadium with a bunch of buddies. Most of them are Tigers fans, but I'm kind of forced to follow the Tigers if I want to talk baseball in person.

Jesus, April/May Mets tickets go on sale March 15th.

Maybe September Cubs tickets will go on sale by the all-star break. What the heck is their problem?

I don't understand why teams sell their tickets in increments. Is the Mets' stadium going to be done by Opening Day? Either way, they could just release those tickets later.

The Hawks did that until a couple years ago though. Released tickets on various dates throughout the year.

Thursday, April 16 1:20 p.m. St. Louis Cardinals

Tuesday, April 21 7:05 p.m. Cincinnati Reds

Wednesday, April 22 7:05 p.m. Cincinnati Reds

Friday, May 1 1:20 p.m. Florida Marlins

Monday, May 4 7:05 p.m. San Francisco Giants

Tuesday, May 5 1:20 p.m. San Francisco Giants

No weekend games this year.

WILDCATS and other passwords from last year work.

Also, the dugout, bullpen, and bleacher box seats go on sale this Friday at 10 AM. It doesn't appear as if there's a lottery.

Yes, just call in and have your tickets changed to will call or ticket window pickup or whatever. I did that for some tickets last year.
