I've actually never thought about it as "Nobody does it like Sara Lee."

 

I've only heard it (and seen it) the other way.

 

i've never seen it before and i always heard it as "nobody does it like sara lee."

exactly! "nobody doesn't like sara lee" just sounds stupid. if that's what they wanted to say, then "everybody likes sara lee" rolls off the tongue better and doesn't sound stupid. \

Plus, the jingle doesn't flow as well in the non-double negative version.

i only know this because it was in letter from a nut. i think mr. nancy suggested it was both ungrammatical and untrue and should be changed to "many people like sara lee."

I've always heard it as "does it like," but I had the entire foundation of my being rocked when I realized I was wrong all my life a couple of years ago when I actually read the slogan somewhere.
