It's sad that Lou gets it after two straight 3-and-out playoff appearances. Especially this year's post season debacle. So what if they got 97 wins? Yeah, I don't understand that either. This is a team that was running Skip Schumaker, Ryan Ludwick, Cesar Izturis, Aaron Miles, Todd Wellemeyer and Braden Looper out there on a regular basis. You can only expect so much from Pujols.

 

All Lou had to do was get the team to show up to the park on time to win his award.

Even if you changed your post your wording still implies that the voting was after the postseason. He didn't really get the award after two straight 3-and-outs. He got it before the second; it just wasn't announced until after. All of the awards are voted on before the postseason but not announced until after.
