I don't see how Lou gets it after two straight 3-and-out playoff appearances. Especially this year's post season debacle. So what if they got 97 wins? This team has underachieved big time in the playoffs.

 

The postseason has absolutely nothing to do with the voting.

Even if you changed your post your wording still implies that the voting was after the postseason. He didn't really get the award after two straight 3-and-outs. He got it before the second; it just wasn't announced until after. All of the awards are voted on before the postseason but not announced until after.
