Do You Still Wear You Cubs Gear?

I saw this question on Cubs.com mailbag, and wondered if anyone on this site still wears their Cubs gear (of any kind)., or is it still too painful for some? I have a really nice Polo style shirt with the Cubs logo on it that I have wore with a pair of khakis since being dumped out of the playoffs.

 

Question :" I'm starting to get over it, now that the World Series is done. Being far from Chicago, it's a bit easier, I guess. I'm curious if anyone in Chicagoland is wearing Cubs garb or if they have put it away until spring?"

I did exactly what I predicted I'd do. Get pissed for a few days, and go back to being a normal Cubs fan. Yes I still wear my gear, and I wear it proudly.

Still wear my Cubs hat. It's tough but you have to realize being a fan of a team goes beyond winning. It's a commitment that you keep through thick and thin.

I made it a point to wear the hat the day after it all ended, but it's only been a handful of times since. I'm sure the hoodie will see a lot of time starting within the next week or two.

I busted out the black on black Cubs hat for a while after the LDS loss, but now I am back to the regular cap (I wear a Cubs hat at least 70% of the time I am awake).

 

I don't know why anyone wouldn't. I mean I have religiously worn my Cubs gear whenever possible for 20+ years, and through some really bad, bad, embarrassing years.

 

Relatively speaking, these are good times to be a Cubs fan.

I went to my first Cub game in 1970. I do not even own any Cub paraphenalia because I would be too embarassed to wear it. I thought I might get a nice hat this year and wear it if they at least won the pennant, but scotch that. Maybe next year.
