I didn't even realize that I ever signed up. I guess I did as I am 17,427 on the waiting list. It does say that it has not updated since all the off-season changes. I guess I'll end up around 14,000-15,000 once it adjusts.

Good guess. I am 14,802 now.

Just checked and I am now at 10,019. At this rate I guess my number may be called in 2-3 years. Better start saving!

I moved up exactly 3,000 spots since the update they sent me in October. What's the discount on season tickets vs. sinngle game? If it's substantial, that seems a bit shortsighted to throw away that revenue stream for the guaranteed income by adding 3,000 season tickets while we struggle.

They contacted me and I was at about 2,500 in October. I'd guess the attrition rate is pretty high for waiting list people who signed up many years ago. My problem is that my parents would like to split the buy with me, but they're in their late 60s and there's no way they want to sit in the bleachers ... but they're only offering nights-weekends combo for bleacher seats.

Anyone on the list want tickets? Number was called about 3 or so years too early.

I was thinking a deal of something like you get the tickets for yourself for the next 3 years and then after the 3 years we split the games in half. I can put your name down and you can select whatever tickets you want.

Also willing to split for multiple groups.

PM me if interested.

There is no discount. They are the same price.

The discount is $1 per game. $81 for the season.

We were supposed to be there at 8am today - and ultimately decided not to do it. Between 4 guys - 20 games is still tough to commit to. Having young kids and living in the burbs is not good. It wouldve been perfect when we got on the list in 2006.

They told me that you can request an increase, getting it is subject to season ticket seating availability.

For the bleachers, I wouldn't think availability would much of an issue.

Correct, b/c its GA - once you're in...you're in.

Anybody go today? My appointment was at 12:30, but I checked the box to have a Cubs rep choose seats for me. I'm just wondering if anybody had an appointment time at or after 12:30 and got tickets.

I went Saturday at 9:30 am. Only seats left included a smattering of terrace reserved, upper deck outfield box, and bleachers.

Ended up getting the nights and weekend package for the bleachers (55 games, 2 tix). I'd love to disperse the wealth to anyone who wants to go in on a ticket lottery. PM me if interested.

The kinda funny thing was how all the Cubs employees who I dealt with managed to mention how things would be "when we win the Word Series." Organizational message to the everyone (via Theo), or just independent thinking by them all that Theo would get us there?

I just checked my waiting list position and I made a big jump recently. I was at 12,000 a few months ago and now I am up to 8,000.

Has anyone had any luck with updating their contact info? The Cubs sent me an email a few months ago to update my contact info. When I go to the website, they ask for me to enter my account number or email address and then they say they are sending me an email with details, but I have tried multiple times and that email never shows up (not in my spam folder either).

anyone on the list?? im on the list and my number has not changed for 3 years....i called the cubs and they told me something like MLB controlls the wait list, and its on them....but they never give me an option on who to call....just wondering if anyone else had any expericence with this.....

thanks--

You can usually purchase season ticket packages on Ebay and Stubhub. You just won't be able to get the tickets renewed for the following season. Season tickets are a big commitment, especially for primarily day games. Don't know why anyone would do it for baseball, the heat of the day games especially in the bleacher area is unbearable.

We're going to the select-a-seat this year. We had the bleachers combo pack last year. I bet we do the same thing, but I just want to have an idea of what is available to me. If people are dropping like flies and they took those seats from the scalpers there might be something better.

When your number gets called (off the wait list), how does it work? Do you get to choose how many you want to buy?

Last year I had the option to buy 1-6. Since I don't live in Chicago currently and they suck I asked If I bought 2 now if I could increase that total later. They said it would depend on how many people do not renew. I would get the chance to increase the total to 3-6 before they would extend offers to others on the wait list.
