i know everyone here hates Tyrus, but he looks a lot like Kenyon Martin to me.

I think most of the reasons why Bulls fans hate Thomas is because they had Brandon Roy in their lap, and refused to pick him for Thomas because he (thomas) can "jump" through a gym.

Lottery pick here we come!

Yay early season competitiveness + very thin draft = useless 8-12 pick to be used on another Joakim Noah.

FYI, NBAdraft.net has the Bulls picking Greg Monroe from Georgetown in the draft, who is described as "Chris Webber (late career version)" Yay?

If we drafted Greg Monroe he'd already have the best skills of any big man on our roster by a huge amount (I know, not really saying much). I like his game. He's not going to wow anyone with his athleticism but he's well developed for his age and size. We could do worse than him.

And just watching Jefferson abuse us last night had me longing for a big man with skills.

I'd be stunned if Greg Monroe lasted till 10. DraftExpress.com has him at 3; I think Monroe is top 5, especially in such a poor draft.

Of course NBADraft.net is pretty horrible. I sure hope no team is stupid enough to take Chase Budinger at 8.

I was at the game last night, and the Bulls effort was pretty bad. Besides a terrible job of coaching, the team looked pretty flat. One observation that you really can't appreciate enough on TV was how bad Aaron Gray is. He rarely ran the court and was useless inside. The Bulls have to find a better option at C. Jefferson just destroyed them all night.

What's the chances the Blazers are interested in that proposed trade basically involving Hinrich for Rudy Fernandez.

The Blazers aren't trading Rudy Fernandez. The proposed trade was Raef Lafrentz and Sergio Rodriguez for Kirk Hinrich. Neither are very good but it helps the Bulls set up for 2010.

Only if Isiah Thomas was running the Blazers, sadly.

Do Vinny and Pax even make it through the season?

I say Vinny no maybe half way or after the all-star break....Paxson will be fired before 2010, but I hope it's earlier

Paxson won't be fired for a long time.

The team would have to be monumentally bad. Like the Bulls from 98-2003ish bad. The job is his until he wants to leave, IMO.

We'll see, but Del Negro is gone before the end of the season

My personal feeling is that you are wrong, but the other part of me thinks Reinsdorf doesn't give a crap what the Bulls do as long as they aren't embarrassing him personally, like you said 98-03 bad.

If the Blackhawks continue to sell out, and then the United Center empties out for Bulls games, that might change his mind a little.

Maybe they can build some momentum after stomping a couple of crappy teams on the road.

Tyrus with two straight double doubles.

Only caught a couple glimpses of the game last night... but Thomas looked good.

Is he still shooting those stupid 15 foot jump shots? Or is he driving the rim now?

Up 62-59 at the half...should be a bigger lead but Rose got abused by Nash in the last couple minutes of the first half. He has a tendency to lose focus defensively especially if his man has been quiet for a stretch.

Teams playing pretty well overall though. Seems like they've cut down on the possessions that go nowhere some since they've started on this road trip.

2.5 years into his career and I still have no idea what Tyrus Thomas' ceiling as a player is. He really makes some breathtaking plays. He plays like a dope on offense a lot but there's potential. His form on the jumper is actually pretty good.

Also, the Suns have officially stopped caring about putting forth a high level of effort.
