LOS ANGELES (AP) — A man faces criminal charges for allegedly stealing a uniform from Dodger Stadium and posing as one of the team’s players.

Ronald Higgins pleaded not guilty to several charges Friday, including burglary and trespassing.

The 47-year-old Higgins was arrested Wednesday morning after a security guard found him walking on the field in a Dodgers uniform and holding a glove with two balls. Higgins allegedly identified himself as a Dodgers player, but the guard recognized him from an earlier incident and called police.

Prosecutors say Higgins’ clothes were later found in the bat boys’ locker room. It was not immediately clear where he got the uniform.

If convicted, Higgins could spend nearly four years in state prison.

wouldn't he have been more believable as a Giant?

If he tried it with the White Sox, it could have worked.

4 years in a state prison? Are you freakin' kidding me?

This country really needs a reality check on punishment fitting the crime. People kill other people or permanently hurt someone and don't get 4 freakin' years.

leonard little, 3 months.

And actually, it wasn't even 3 months. He just had to spend the night in jail. So, for three months, he'd be free during the day, but then report in at night. 90 days sleeping in a jail... how'd he ever survive?

The example that came to mind for me recently was the recent high school graduate who rode his motorcycle across the school quad and got sentenced to a year in jail, yet a handful of high schoolers decided to beat a mexican aggraculture worker to within an inch of his life in what was basically a hate crime, and so far, not one kid has gotten anything more than probation.

Key word "could".

People kill other people and "could" get life in jail, but we know that doesn't always happen. I'm guessing he'll get a few days in jail and have to do a lot of community service.

They should arrest every freaking Dodger fan. Every single last one of them. Ship em to Guantanamo Bay.

Admittedly I am having a hard time working in the same building as approximately a dozen Dodger fans.
