There was a post on hirejimessian.com with a better quality recording of the song from Pearl Jam's concert at the Auditorium Theater earlier this year. I believe this was the version that they were playing on the radio because the audio quality is much better and it is about 2 minutes shorter. Eh, I like the other version (the 6 minute one) much better. Of course, I've been listening to that one for months now so it's grown on me quite a bit. The problem with that one is the quality sucks, and there's a very extended delay between the first and second verses.

A number of years ago I was living in Indianapolis and was at a Bulls-Pacers playoff game in Indy. Some friends and I went out to smoke a cigarette at half time, and I look up and Eddie Vedder was standing there by himself smoking. No entourage, no guards, no nothing-just hanging out like everyone else. I know hes not exactly the biggest star in the world, but to see him just hanging out minding his own business was pretty cool coming from a rock star. After I realized it was him I really wanted to ask for his autograph, but as no one was bothering him (he was dressed very casually/run-down and I dont think many others even realized it was him) I decided he probably didnt get many "normal" moments and just left him alone. Just seemed like a pretty down-to-earth guy, especially compared to others with half his fame.
