According to WGN 720 Lou was livid and in rare form during his postgame

Hope he was yelled at himself for not walking Izturis and having Soto bunting.

If the Cubs locker room hasn't been trashed by Lou in a fit of rage, he should be fired.

Rumors are that what he did in front of the microphone was not nearly as bad as what happened in the locker room.

If there were no casualties, I'll be very dissapointed.

I wouldn't exactly say that Lou was in a rage after the game, but he is clearly getting frustrated with the way the team is playing.

"You gotta get your damn shirts rolled up and kick somebody's @$$. Period."

I normally associate kicking somebody's ass with bunting.

I don't even know what to do or say. Totally at a loss for words.

I want to be angrier, but at the same time, I don't want to be as doom and gloom as I am being in my own head.

If this team plays like this a month from now I'm going to put a foot through a wall.

According to PTI: tonight was the anniversary of the black cat game. Now I feel better.

I certainly won't be pleased, but at least it will mean that they didn't complete one of the most horrifying collapses in the history of professional sports.

I don't see that happening, if only because I don't think the Mets/Phillies are good enough to catch us regardless of how horrible we play.

I was at the bar tonight watching this game.I almost threw a bottle at the TV...Piss poor managing..Soto bunting?? Then not walking Izturis to load the bases?? WTF?? Lou is a POS manager..I am disgusted..Every day I am getting scared and less confident of going to the playoffs because if this keeps up we wont have a friggin chance in there..Damn this is frustrating

Relax everybody....we're just getting all the ugly losses out of the way now, so once we hit the playoffs we're going on a long winning streak. We're too good not to turn this around.

I'm sure they said that in '69. And in '84. And I remember how there was no possible way we'd lose both Games 6 and 7 at home with Prior and Wood starting.

It's the Cubs. If there's a way to screw it up, they'll find it.

The Cubs don't screw up any more than any other team, for Christ's sake.

This losing stuff sucks, but give me a break, every single team around for any length of time has epic choke jobs in their history. I hate the "It's the Cubs" crap and would die happy if I never heard it again.

Name me one other team, just one, that has blown it as many times as the Cubs have since 1969.

I count 4: 69, 84, 2003, 2004.

Are you serious?

Completely.

Go on, prove your point. Prove to me that history doesn't prove me right.

The Red Sox. 1978, 1986, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003. All had either a 90% chance of making the playoffs during the season and didn't, or had a big lead in the playoffs and blew it.

And it only took you 14 minutes to prove it. Well done, CCP.

I was at the game last night and thought Lou made 3 pretty big mistakes:

1. Not PHing for Demp in the top of the 6th when they had a chance to blow the game open. Minor deal, but could have made a big impact.

2. Bunting with Soto. Are you freaking kidding me? Just because the guy's a rookie doesn't mean you have to have him bunt in that spot. On a side note, awful baserunning by Felix as his lead was about a foot and a half off the bag.

3. Not walking Izturis. Skip freaking Schumaker was next. Take a chance Lou.
