I remember the Indians/Angels tickets were like $5 when they played in Milwaukee last year. I may be heading up although I wasn't expecting a late 7:05 game. I won't get back til like 12:30.

Tickets for both days will be priced at the Marquee Game rates, which range from $25 to $60, and seating will be sold in the Field and Loge Levels only. Tickets will go on sale at 9 p.m. CT tonight, and fans are strongly encouraged to avoid potentially long lines by going to brewers.com to purchase seats and select the "print at home" option. Tickets may also be purchased at the Miller Park Box Office beginning tomorrow at 9 a.m., but phone orders will not be available.

$25-$60!!!!

Whatever the price is, I'm sure it won't be high enough to deter anyone from going who can.

It's going to be surreal...but really cool if we can pack a good crowd in there.

why don't they just play a double header on monday?

I'm guessing that would make travel extremely difficult, not so much for the Cubs who are a short drive from Milwaukee, but for Houson who would have to play a double-header and then fly to Florida afterwards. I'm ok with the compromise of playing 2 games in Milwaukee for now.

Why squeeze two games into one day in an already difficult stretch when the game might not be necessary at all (almost surely won't be for us)...

In light of UM's most recent post, I'm retracting the first sentence of this.

Wow. Talk about gouging.

This is a pretty good result for the Cubs.

Looks like the MLB got the last laugh. Hold the games in Milwaukee and price gouge the Cubs fans. Oh well, 15-20k will be there.

an even crazier idea would have been to check a weather forecast or two and schedule a game in Milwaukee today

Wow. Talk about gouging.

Yeah, that pricing is ridiculous when we're dealing with a less than 24 hour window requiring people to make plans on short notice... but I wonder if it was part of the agreement with Houston that they wanted to charge top dollar to maximize their revenue.

Of course I'm not going up there, but just for grins I just went to the ticket purchase page. Best available was third-row, right behind home plate. Price was $140.

So I don't know what the deal is with this.

Why is it gouging? It is the same as they would charge for other games at the stadium. I don't see why they would feel it necessary to give a discounted price. Not like anyone is forced to go if they don't want to and/or can't afford it.

Because it's exceptionally late notice. Of course nobody is forced to go. That's hardly the point.

Someone here said last year when they hosted an Indians-Angels series, tickets were $10. So, here, they saw an opportunity to make more money off the Cub fans. That's gouging.

Call it what you want, but they'd be stupid to charge less when they know people would pay more.

I won't disagree with that. But I think these prices will discourage a lot of people from going.
