neither does ned yost.

I have a feeling he'll just get lucky and not have to pay for it this season.

Well to his credit

 

A) They are only 3 games up on a playoff spot

B) The score was 1-0

C) The bullpen pitched a lot of innings yesterday

D) It's September

E) Sheets only threw 54 pitches in his last start.

 

I am a big fan of watching PCs, but sometimes you guys take it too far. There are some instances where it is perfectly acceptable for your pitcher to throw 120 pitches, and this is one of them.

Jason Marquis deserves at least a golf clap tonight for being effective for 6+ innings, something that most of the rotation for one reason or another has been unable to do in the past week.
