Just goto the Cubs website during the day of the game and they'll have the green ticket window button for the game, you click it and most times it says sold out, but you just keep refreshing and eventually I got in and got 2 seats

I'm not too worried about the lottery because I've been able to get in and get 2 tickets the last two days for games 1 and 2 of the NLDS

Really? how?

Wow...I've been trying all day the past 2 days using Check 4 Change (automatically refreshes and checks for you) and got nothing. Not even a single, let alone PAIRS for BOTH games.

so the password seller don't even offer a refund for the cubs not making it to the NLCS?

if the cubs lose tonight, i'm selling my password.

I'd sell it now for $300 and then try to get lucky with the late releases like the NLDS.

Once you start asking for 300, your pool or prospective buyers shrinks.

$300 PW + $150 for 2 tickets = $450

or from CL or Stubhub

$450 for two tickets

You think you'll be able to get a pair of decent seats for $450 in the NLCS??

There's less of a chance for released tickets during the NLCS. They've only been releasing a few at a time for the NLDS and there will be fewer tickets made available to the public for the NLCS.

Thanks for shattering what little hope I was holding on to.

The real is question is, do I feel I will be able to get tickets for less than $150 ($165 less after charges) over face.

so do i 1) sell the password now when the cubs are only down 0-1 (before they potentially go down 0-2, ruining any value of the password) 2) hope they come back and make things interesting, thus raising the value or 3) buy the tickets and go to the game myself? wonder what i'd get for the password if the cubs go down 0-2...

Very little. I'd either sell now or just hang on to it and buy tickets yourself. Or secret option 4. Give it to me.

I'm pretty sure, "Thank you for registering" is the worst email subject title you can receive, other than "Genital Herpes test results: Positive".

Pretty much.

When I got rejected for the NLDS, the subject title was "Postseason ticket lottery results inside," or something like that.

October 2, 2008 We're sorry, but you were not selected for an opportunity to purchase tickets to 2008 National League Championship Series tickets for games at Wrigley Field.

Don't worry, the Cubs just got an email telling them that they were not selected to play in the NLCS either.

I think the worst part about the rejection emails are the fact that it says "Tickets still available on Stubhub!". They are basically saying "You didnt win, but you can still spend 6 times as much and buy them from a 3rd party buyer!"
