Yeah the umps have been awful this series. It's been pretty even too in terms of effing each team.

It's so aggravating that MLB doesn't do anything at all about the obvious umpire problems.

the only thing worse than dick stockon is this umpiring crew.

Well, to be fair, the umpires did know that the ball hit Victorino, unlike Stockton... "Strike three!!!"

that's true.

the worst thing about the hbp wasn't that he didn't move, it was that the pitch was a strike.

He didn't not move... he dropped his arm down so that the ball would hit him. No doubt about it.

Are you serious Stockton? Strike three? The ball hit him dude, christ.

To be fair to Stockton, it was strike 3 if Victorino didn't lean halfway over home plate.

Do they ever call the "not getting out of the way of a pitch" rule in the pros? I can't remember the last time I saw it called.

i recall Biggio getting called on it a couple times

I figured it probably did at some point, just that it's so rare I don't remember it.

I went to probably 5 UCD baseball games last season and I saw it called 3 or 4 times. Not sure why they don't call it in the majors.

Dear Cubs / Cobs,

Myers will be throwing a lollipop curve with 2 strikes. Be on the look out, please.

Well if it was going to get called on any player, it would have to be Biggio.
