Need to just replace umps completely.

This would have been perfect for the instant replay, as it looked clearly to me that he did not applied any tag of any kind.

Couldn't tell if he got Lilly on the foot or not.

 

He didn't. His glove would have moved if it actually touched Lilly.

DeRosa grounded an IF single to shortstop

Fukudome grounded into a FC, 5-4, DeRosa out at second

Soto blooped a single to shallow right center field , Fukudome to third

Lilly sacrificed, 3 unassisted, Soto to second, Fukudome holding third

Soriano grounded out to short, 6-3

Another thing I want to point out that if he did hit Lilly, Lilly's reaction on running would have been like a akward balacing act, as if he stumbled over a log or something, you know?

 

And the Cubs blow another oppiturnity. Dang.

They didn't really show a good angle on the foot, though. It was pretty clear he didn't touch any other part of Lilly, but I didn't really see anything conclusive either way. Oh well.

 

EDIT: From what they showed it looked like he missed him, I just don't think there was proof either way.
