REM It's the end of the world as we know it

This was my second choice. My first? I Touch Myself... The Divinyls.

Edit: Correction, that was 1991. Sorry, carry on.

I hope you're joking. Or at least a chick.

but, by definition, all 80's rock is bad...even when it's good

How untrue. 80's was the last great decade in music.

Duran duran and Men at Work

U2, REM, The Replacements, Husker Du, Sonic Youth, Metallica, Cure, G 'n R, Slayer, Depeche Mode, Van Halen at it's peak, Ozzy at his peak, etc...

FWIW...

This Cubs Tribute CD has all the great songs every Cubs fan knows by heart, including Steve Goodman's Cubs victory song, "Go Cubs Go".

The CD also includes Harry Caray singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame", Chicago's own The Ides of March singing "Finally Next Year", and The Romantics with the tune you hear at Wrigley Field during every home game, "What I Like About You". Other tracks include...

* Go Sammy! - (Sammy Sosa Home Run Montage)

* A Little Grace (Mark Grace Hits 5 Homers In 7 Games)

* Beck Gets #50! - (September 26, 1998 Vs Astros)

* Kerry Mows 'Em Down! - (May 6, 1998 Vs Astros)

* Dance To The Music - Sly & The Family Stone

* Cubs To The Playoffs! - (September 28, 1998 Vs. Giants)

* Sosa Day! - (Sammy Sosa Day Excitement)

I seriously think they were just looking for some more filler on that CD.

I can not ever recall hearing that song at Wrigley... I'm sure they've played it once or twice at some point, but not that I can recall.

On the other hand, Walkin on Sunshine and Get Down Tonight have been Wrigley fixtures at one time or another. YMCA during pitching changes too.

Now, I've heard it a million times at the UC.

Just imagine after they win a series or a game or something and being hammered at a bar screaming out the lyrics.

Yes, I do believe it sounds good.

I already did that (Wed 6/25 vs Orioles, Cubby Bear afterwards).

Pretty awesome.

The song that will always be assoiciated with the Cubs run this year will be "Go Cubs Go" because now it has got such national attention.....we can argue about other songs all day,but like the Cubs its going to be old school

For the playoffs: Madhouse / Anthrax

That's what I always wanted for Wood's entrance. I don't want a bad 80's song, I want a great song, because this team is great.

Only if it has the intro.

"It's time for your medication Mr. Brown..."

"MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!"

Also, since we're on the topic of Hair Metal, Patton Oswalt's opinion is relevant here:

That's the post victory song.

Totally different. =; You obviously don't have much experience as the fan of a winning team. [-(

Van Halen's Jump should only be played when Soriano goes to catch a routine fly ball (and hopefully doesn't drop it).
