Ok, see your point, but as for symbolism....it's got it.

another symbolic song: Patience by GNR

Right band, but wrong song:

Welcome to the Jungle.

Jump!!!

Bring it back!!!

It's just not the same with the Cubs running out on the field to "Runnin' Down a Dream" or "It's a Beautiful Day."

The two main songs I affiliate with the Cubs the most are "Jump" and The Romantics "What I like about You"

REM It's the end of the world as we know it

This was my second choice. My first? I Touch Myself... The Divinyls.

Edit: Correction, that was 1991. Sorry, carry on.

Why??

I highly associate that with the 90's Bulls, but not the Cubs at all. Was it something before my time?

The Romantics was never associated with the Cubs. I think he's confused.

I could be remembering wrong, I think they used them for some of their game promos sometime in the mid-late 80's. Or it could be age catching up with me.

a) you're older than me.

b) Didn't WGN use it a ton in the early-to-mid 90s as their go-to song for Cubs commercials and such? I for some reason remember it that way.

Damn you. I still always feel like I'm one of the youngest people around. Makin me feel old.

There's plenty of younger college kids in here. And then there's Ski, at 16, who caused me to leap for the foe button immediately after his first post.

Edit: not due to age, but upon his lack of value upon any subject and most of his posts are followed by everyone else correcting him or rebutting him.
