Following up on Gaudin getting the win over the weekend when he blew the lead.

 

 

I thought the official scorekeeper had discretion about giving wins out to a reliever? Wouldnt this have been a perfect time to use this discretion?

 

Both of them would be perfect opportunities but it rarely if ever actually happens in the bigs.

 

IMHO, if a pitcher gives up the lead, and then the offense comes back and gets the lead the next half inning, that pitcher should never be in line for the win.

Harden said he was gassed. The heat and humidity was pretty bad, and he had to run the bases pretty hard. He said his legs were really tired.
