This is good news. Will Lou throw him back in the closer role or give him a non save situation inning first?

bases loaded, no-out situation with a one run lead

I'm worried that Kerry isn't ready but is frustrated and wants to get back on the mound. He's gonna need to throw some more on the side without that pad before he's ready. Edited by mdwilla

If he isn't totally ready, he shouldn't pitch. If he goes out tonight and injures the blister even worse, he won't be helping anyone.

So after someone's 14 day DL stint, he can come off any time he's ready?

It's the 15-day DL and yes, they can come off whenever ready after the 15 days. If he can pitch without pain, and feel fine the next day, I'm not sure how much chance there is a reinjuring a blister.

True, but will the blister hurt his accuracy.

I wonder who gos bye bye.

My guess.......Cotts.

Another possibility is Eyre going back on the DL (he probably won't pitch during that time anyway, so his absence would hardly be noticed).

Not pitching for a longer time certainly will.

"I tried just about everything. Then the last thing we tried seemed to work well. It turned around in about three or four days," Wood said Monday without explaining the procedure. "It toughened it up and worked well."

Hmm, what could this mystery "procedure" be?

That's my main concern.

Brink of disaster?? Despite LemmeHearYa's claims, this wasn't a disaster.

It's all relative. Last year's situation truly was disaster. This one was more on a smaller scale...like... "Um, we have this crazy blister that nobody's ever seen and it just won't heal. Damndest thing we've ever seen. Nothing we try helps. He's not close." ...two days later "He'll be back in a couple days."
