Our resident Pirates fan seems to think that Maholm has been near untouchable in July. Well, Julys over, plus its the "untouchable" pitchers that we end up beating and get shut down by the likes of Steve Karstens, Brian Mohler, and Shawn Chacon.

What to watch: Maholm has a 2.76 ERA in his past 11 starts, but his history vs. Chicago is peculiar: He is 4-0 but with a 6.15 ERA in seven career starts.

We need this game today or most of our work in Milwaukee will be erased. I'd hate to see us flush the results of this week down the toilet by dropping a series to the Pirates. Lets win today and tomorrow and forget about yesterday.
