I want to hear how everyone thinks this series is going to turn out, as it is becoming bigger and bigger of a series for us. I just have a good feeling about this series. The Cubs always seem to hit well at Miller Park and don't seem to play like the road team. Maybe it's because of all the Cubs fans, maybe its because they probably sleep at home, or could sleep at home after the games, who knows. But anyways, here are the pitching matchups:

Game 1:

Lilly vs. Sabathia

Game 2:

Zambrano vs. Sheets

Game 3:

Dempster vs. Parra

Game 4:

Harden vs. Bush

I think the Cubs lose tomorrow, win either game 2 or game 3, and win game 4 for a split. If we get lucky we win game 2 and 3 and take 3 out of 4. I really don't see us losing this series.

Brewers win the first game, Cubs win the fourth. I think the Cubs have the upper hand in game three and the second is a toss -up.

At worst, I think we split and at best I think we could win three.

That's what I'm saying. On paper the Brewers look to be big favorites tomorrow (add to the fact that they hit lefties pretty well), and on Thursday the Cubs look to be big favorites. I'm not saying their are gimmes because anything can happen, but likely those middle 2 games will decide who win the series or if it will be a split.

I think the Cubs either split or take 3 of 4. I'm into aiming high this year rather than settling for good enough, so I voted 3 of 4.

Maybe it's my traditionalist roots, but I think momentum will play a bit of a factor in this series. The Cubs had a big win today (Sunday) in dramatic fashion to take the lead over the Brewers heading into the series, while Milwaukee got pretty much trashed by the Astros.

Cubs win at least the first two and end up taking the series 3 of 4. Milwaukee is too good for momentum to overcome them, but I think the Cubs will hold an advantage entering the series.

Split at best. Sabathia has just been pure dominance and Sheets has been looking excellent. The Cubs' road woes are scary, especially since they seem to even stink just going across town, much less to "Wrigley Field North," which it no longer is.

Are the Brewers clobbering lefties again this year?

First: CC is due for his first NL royal butt kicking, so I think the Cubs are going to do that.

I know alot of people are not going off the limb and make a hard prediction, but I will, the Cubs will win 3 games.

Good money is on a split, although I wouldn't be surprised at all if either team took 3/4. With those pitching match-ups, it's easy to see either team doing so.

However, I'd be shocked if there was a sweep one way or another.

i'm just glad yesterday shook out the way it did, with the cubs being up a game in the division. i could see the brewers taking 3 of 4 and going up a game, but when two good teams play each other, it's very unlikely that either will come away with a four game sweep. so, at worst the cubs should be a game back, and they might be up three.

Are the Brewers clobbering lefties again this year?

Sheets hasn't looked good his last couple of starts. His control is still there but he has been very hittable. I think the offense is due to break out of its slump, while the Brewers have been starting to slump offensively except Braun. This is a case of teams possibly going in different directions (at least I hope).

Sheets last few starts:

7 IP 4 H 3 R 2 BB 4K
5 IP 9 H 4 R 1 BB 3K
6 IP 5 H 3 R 2 BB 11K
5.2 IP 9 H 1 R 3 BB 6K
7 IP 9 H 5 R 2 BB 7K

Hmmmmm, that's much less scary.

I'm sort of pessimistic.

They've hit CC in the past but Sheets manhandles them. Dempster isn't the same guy on the road. I think the only "lock" is Harden.

I voted Brewers 3 out of 4.
