We need audio, despite the horribleness of the last few innings.

Kasper's Youtube will be on in a few minutes

No matter how many times I see that reply, I still can't decide whether DeRosa was safe.

It was bang-bang, but I think he JUST beat it IMO.

I think it was a dead-on tie. So he would be safe in that situation.

Plesac makes a good point about Marmol. He went for a while walking people and going deep in counts prior to all of this trouble. His control just keeps getting worse.

The All star break will really help us out. I predict the Cubs will go 7-3 in the first 10 games after the break, increasing their division lead to 7.5

Stop talking and start the Lou press conference. I cannot wait!!! Somebody freakin grill him.

As in: Uh, Mr. Lou sir, sorry to bother you but do you think using Marmol or at least not taking him out was not up to par with your usual brilliance? I'll go sit in the corner now.

I'm actually enjoying Plesac's commentary. For his failings, he's right here. Carlos has lost the movement on his slider. After watching the replays, those are spinners, not hard breaking sliders (I couldn't watch the game live). He's going to continue to get hit like this. The fact that the Gnats could only get singles off him is immaterial. They could very well have been homers with good hitters.

OK, so now I'm feeling comfortable about Harden's health. But Marmol... :?

The break should do him some good.

So I just got home and checked gameday right as Johnson was driving in the winning run. What the hell happened? I mean I've looked over gameday and saw a few of the highlights, but holy hell. Was Marmol really that bad? How did Harden look? Is it safe to say Theriot is the worst defensive shortstop in the league now?

In order:

Guh, don't ask.

He was extremely unsteady, I felt queasy on nearly every pitch.

As advertised.

Harden was great. I'd like to see him do a better job being more economical with his pitches. He was up near 100 in the 6th and got pulled. He had 10Ks and I believe 3 BBs so that's a big reason why his PC was so high.

Marmol was horrible. He needs time off. He didn't get hit incredibly hard, but his control was all over the place.

Theriot is not the WORST defensive shortstop in the league, but he is pretty bad. Below average.

I just realized Marmol screwed my NSBB Keeper League team... I have Harden.

Didn't even realize that until just now.

I don't get bitching about the bunt there.

slow lead runner with poor baserunning instincts, batter who has been hot, and the next batter is a guy who does not hit RHP well.

Sure Reed doesn't hit good against RHP but I'd take him maybe only behind Aramis in big situations with RISP. .377 going into the at bat now 21-54 and batting .389 with RISP

Harden was very economical until his last inning or so. He was in the 50s after 4 innings.
