Seems like yet another steal for the Cubs........can someone give a comparision to the players the Cubs gave up with players in the Brewers system.....i.e. which of our players compare best to the players given up by the Cubs.

Boy that sure sucks!!! They didn't give up much at all for him either. Sean Gallagher, Matt Murton, Eric Patterson and the Cubs also get Chad Gaudin too!!! Why would Beane do that trade?!!?

That is a steal of a deal for the Cubs IF Harden stays healthy. I cant believe that Beane got fleeced that bad on giving up Harden.

They seem generally pretty reasonable over ther with the occasional nut who thinks the Brewers got totally screwed or the Cubs gave up a bunch of nothing for Harden. Overall pretty good analysis with a few of the level headed ones realizing how much every team's fans hype their own prospects.

It's interesting to listen to the opinions of Gallagher, Murton, and Epatt change -- from "a bunch of bozos" when the trade just went down, to "hey Beane might have gotten a pretty good deal after all" now they they aren't Cub prospects, but Oakland prospects instead.

I remember another Brewers message board, it was actually a board for Milwaukee sports, but it's mainly Brewers fans posting there and the size of the board rivaled Brewernet. I think it was the forums of some Milwaukee newspaper or TV station. Anybody know what I'm talking about?

I'll bet that guy thought much less of Gallagher before the trade.

 

I'm just sayin......there's a certain amount of hypocrisy going on in BrewCrew land right now. According to some of them, Harden was an ace yesterday, but now that he's a Cub, he "might make a decent #4 starter." I'm not making this stuff up.
